Tax settings for Shopify stores
Invoice Inn takes every VAT rate and amount on an invoice from Shopify’s own tax calculation for the order. It never adds, removes or overrides tax. So when an invoice shows the wrong VAT, or no VAT at all, the fix is in Shopify, at Settings > Taxes and duties, and it applies to the orders you receive from then on.
The Home page in Invoice Inn warns you when something looks wrong. A banner titled Shopify taxes may not be configured with a Configure taxes button means none of your ten most recent orders carried a tax line, which usually means Shopify is not collecting tax yet. When recent orders carry tax, no banner shows. A store with no orders yet sees an information banner titled Tax calculations powered by Shopify with a Review tax settings button instead. Either banner can be dismissed, and a dismissed banner does not come back.
